1. Assistant Engineer–RE (E-0 Grade)

Candidates should have a full-time regular Diploma in Engineering in one of the prescribed disciplines:

• Electrical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electronics Engineering
• Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Instrumentation Engineering

The diploma should be from a recognized State Technical Board or an AICTE/UGC-recognized institution.

Candidates must also have the required relevant post-qualification experience in the power/renewable-energy sector.

2. Deputy General Manager–RE (E-6 Grade)

Candidates should have a full-time Engineering Degree in one of the prescribed disciplines:

• Electrical Engineering
• Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Electronics Engineering
• Control & Instrumentation Engineering
• Civil Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering

Generally, the qualification requires minimum 60% marks from a recognized University/Institute. Relaxation is applicable to SC/ST/PwBD candidates as prescribed in the notification.

Experience Required

Assistant Engineer–RE

Candidates require substantial post-qualification experience in the Power Sector, including relevant experience in 50 MW or above grid-connected Solar and/or Wind Projects in areas such as Operation & Maintenance or Asset Management.

Deputy General Manager–RE

Candidates require substantial executive experience in the Power Sector, including relevant experience in Renewable Energy (Solar/Wind) projects. The prescribed experience also includes site experience in 50 MW or above grid-connected Solar/Wind projects in areas such as Project Construction, Erection or Commissioning.

Note: This recruitment is primarily for experienced professionals and is not a freshers recruitment.

The maximum age, as prescribed for the respective posts, is:

• Assistant Engineer–RE: 40 Years
• Deputy General Manager–RE: 44 Years

The age/eligibility cut-off date remains 31 July 2026, even though the application deadline has been extended to 31 August 2026.

Age relaxation for reserved categories will be applicable as per the applicable rules.

• UR / EWS / OBC: ₹500/-
• SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen / Female Candidates: No Fee

The application fee is non-refundable.

Assistant Engineer–RE – E-0 Grade

• Pay Scale: ₹30,000 – ₹1,20,000
• Initial Basic Pay: ₹40,000

Deputy General Manager–RE – E-6 Grade

• Pay Scale: ₹90,000 – ₹2,40,000
• Initial Basic Pay: ₹90,000

Other allowances and benefits will be applicable as per NGEL rules.
