Candidates must meet the eligibility conditions prescribed by NTA and CSIR.

• General / Unreserved / General-EWS: At least 55% marks in a Master's degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized university or institution.

• OBC-NCL / SC / ST / PwD / PwBD / Third Gender: At least 50% marks in a Master's degree or equivalent qualification.

• Final-year Master's candidates: Candidates pursuing their Master's degree or awaiting final results may apply provisionally, subject to the conditions and deadlines specified in the official bulletin.

• Four-year bachelor's degree holders: Candidates with a qualifying four-year/eight-semester bachelor's degree may be eligible under the separate provisions specified in the bulletin. The eligibility route and qualifying conditions must be checked carefully.

Candidates should refer to the official Information Bulletin for detailed qualification requirements and rules for each eligibility category. 

Candidates should keep the following documents and information ready before filling out the application form:

• Recent passport-size photograph.

• Live photograph during online application.

• Scanned signature.

• Valid email address and mobile number.

• Educational qualification details and marks.

• Category certificate, if applicable.

• PwD/PwBD or UDID certificate, where applicable.

• Result-awaited attestation form, where applicable.

• Valid identity details required by the application portal.

• Online payment method for the examination fee.
